5 simple habits to develop physical and mental well-being

  1. Go to nature; it’s always the best answer to our questions that we cannot figure out. Nature heals the unspoken emotions, the “figuring ourselves out,” the what-ifs, and the excess baggage.
  2. Self reflection. We are always on the lookout for “red flags” without figuring that we’re turning into them. Make healthy lifestyle changes, develop your cognitive abilities; define your values; and show yourself compassion. Be the “walking green flag” to yourself first. The right one will reflect your shining green flag.
  3. Get up and exercise. Stop being a lazy, overthinking, and unproductive human being. Lying there in bed, wandering about the many things you don’t have control over, you find yourself being stabbed by your own thoughts. That will just waste your time by doing nothing and lowering your self-esteem. That will not get you anywhere, so focus on what you can control and do instead; get up and workout for at least 30 minutes. Get some rays of sunshine. You’ll see that sweat is your glow. That even makes you feel happier. There you are; keep smiling and keep going.
  4. Make a meal plan. Grab a basket and stock up on nutritious items for yourself. Prepare your own meals. Love yourself enough to practice healthy eating and lifestyle habits. What we eat is how we think.
  5. Enhance your knowledge. Don’t spend too much time browsing through your newsfeed; doing so could lead to comparison to too many internet standards of life perfection and beauty. Quit propagating false information. Instead, read credible articles, read recent local and international news updates, go through various sorts of information, listen to podcasts, and explore social media to increase your understanding of global events and general knowledge. Make use of the digital technology; you are in control of it. Don’t just be the pretty-girl, be that smart one.
